In particular, I support investment activities with a compliance, cybersecurity, data analytics and consultancy focus both in the UK and European markets. Recent examples include Sovereign's investments in Zenitech, a leading provider of Digital Transformation and Software Development, and the data and analytics services business AquaQ Analytics.
I've always enjoyed researching and learning about both people and businesses. Having worked in specialist recruitment, I went on to join a leading global knowledge brokerage, Guidepoint, where I led commercial due diligence and corporate strategy projects for private equity clients in the UK and Europe. It was there that I became familiar with Sovereign and its approach to investing through Buy & Build – whether organically, through acquisition or a combination of both.
My interest in entrepreneurial businesses, however, started much earlier in my life through my passion for winter sport, which led to me to become a Swiss Cours d'Instructor. It was then, living in Switzerland, that I ran a backcountry ski touring expedition business. I got a flavour of what it takes to create a business from the ground up.
It will be of no surprise that when I’m not in the office I can be found high up an Alp with ice axes.
