We have achieved this with Bristow & Sutor, where a combination of acquisition led diversification and development of a software driven operating platform has created a sector leading business. Another example is Murgitroyd, where the business is utilising technology to provide a full range of IP support services for their clients supplementing their own attorney practice and creating sustainable differentiation.

Of course, it’s not just about Buy & Build for us, we love organic growth too. Zenitech, the rapidly scaling near shore software developer we partner, highlights the growing demand for digital capability. Before joining Sovereign, I was co-head of Barclays Ventures which I helped establish in 1996, where I made my first investments in technology enabled businesses such as System C Healthcare, Searchflow, Netstore, Iglu, Notability Solutions and FindaProperty.
Prior to Barclays, I worked in industry with Pirelli Telecommunications, following an Electronic Engineering degree from Warwick University.
I am married with two boys, a continually hopeful Welsh rugby fan and can talk a good game of tennis!
