Jake Warman has been promoted to Talent Partner and will have an enlarged focus on Board development and other management enhancement activities. Jake joined Sovereign in 2014, before becoming an Investment Director in 2017 and then a Director in 2019. He has overseen a series of management enhancement projects across our portfolio, most recently at Acolin, Data Intellect (formerly AquaQ Analytics), Skerritts, Bioscript and Aquitaine, and has helped unlock a number of transactions through his network. Prior to Sovereign, Jake was a Director at Skillcapital and started his career as a solicitor.

James Buckhalter has been promoted to Investment Director. He joined Sovereign in 2019 as an Investment Executive from strategy consultancy Monitor Deloitte, and became an Investment Manager in 2022. He specializes in the financial and professional services sectors and played an instrumental role in Sovereign's investment in LB Group. He also worked closely with the Murgitroyd team to develop their pipeline of follow-on acquisition opportunities, and supported the MBO of Skerritts and its Buy & Build strategy.

Peter Eckersley has been promoted to Investment Director. Since his recruitment in 2020, Peter has supported our investment in Skerritts, led the subsequent Skerritts bolt-on programme, and worked on our recent purchase of a majority stake in LB Group. He also sits on the Boards of Acolin and Zenitech – where he supported the acquisition of AutSoft – and was a Board member of Alveo, which we successfully exited in January. Peter joined Sovereign from Fenchurch Advisory Partners.

Tom Wilding has been promoted to Investment Manager. Tom supports investment activities with a compliance, cybersecurity, data analytics and consultancy focus in the UK and European markets, with examples including Zenitech and Data Intellect (formerly AquaQ Analytics). Tom joined Sovereign in 2019 from La Fosse Associates.
