Sovereign makes five promotions and two appointments

Sovereign Capital Partners, the UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, is pleased to announce the promotions of five of its team and two appointments.

James Dargan has been promoted to Partner. Since joining Sovereign in 2018, he has played a key role in numerous successful transactions, including the management buy-out of Shackleton and its subsequent bolt-on acquisitions, as well as our investment in Affinia and its M&A programme. He also sits on the board of Knovia Group.

James Buckhalter has been promoted to Director. A member of our Origination team since 2019, James was instrumental in our investment in Affinia and is also deeply involved in our work in the IFA sector with Shackleton, and is supporting the international expansion initiatives of both Murgitroyd and Summit Group.

Indre Edge has been promoted to Investment Director. Indre joined Sovereign in 2020, and focuses primarily on tech-enabled business services and software businesses, including our investment in Zenitech.

Jaime Leslie has been promoted to Investment Executive. Jaime joined Sovereign in 2022 with responsibility for researching and analysing new business opportunities across service-based sectors.

Shlokk Moolchandani has been promoted to Data Scientist. Since joining in 2022, Shlokk has enhanced Sovereign's sourcing and deal analysis through automation, data integration, and AI solutions.

Philip Weston joins Sovereign as Portfolio Director and Associate Partner. With over 20 years of private equity experience at firms including Kelso Place Asset Management, LDC, and Chiltern Capital, Philip will work with our portfolio companies to drive growth and business development and represent Sovereign on company boards.

Mandy Hadley joins as an Investment Executive in the Origination team. With extensive technology experience from IBM's partner network, Mandy focuses on developing relationships within UK business and technology services sectors.
