Affinia expands East and South East footprint with Platt Rushton acquisition

Affinia, the accounting, tax and business advisory group backed by Sovereign Capital Partners, has completed the acquisition of Platt Rushton, a well-established accountancy practice based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

Platt Rushton employs more than 30 people and serves approximately 500 clients across the East and South East of England. This addition strengthens Affinia's presence in one of its core geographies and adds a high-quality customer base and experienced team to the growing group.

Launched in December 2024, Affinia was formed through the strategic integration of LB Group and several high-quality accountancy businesses. Sovereign invested in LB Group in May 2023, and over the past two years has worked closely with the management team on an extensive Buy & Build programme to create a new challenger in the accounting, tax and business advisory sector. Affinia is now ranked among the top 50 accounting services firms in the UK.
