Data Intellect was founded as AquaQ Analytics in 2011 by Ronan Pairceir and James Bradley. With extensive industry experience behind them, they wanted to build a business that could provide clients with high-quality data analytics and technical expertise. In the years that followed, the business experienced fast yet solid growth, without compromise to quality. Keen to further scale and develop AquaQ's services, the founders wanted an investor that understood their business, their market and had a proven track record of supporting strategic growth.

Over a period of three years, Sovereign followed the business and were keen to invest. In 2021, an investment was agreed and Sovereign backed the management team and their ambitions for the business.

At investment, Guy Warren, a proven executive in financial services technology and services, joined the business as Non-Executive Chair. Guy is CEO of technology business ITRS, a former NED of White Clarke Group, ex-COO of FTSE Group and EVP of Misys Banking

Supported succession plans of founder directors by recruiting a new CEO, Steve Turner, in 2022. A double Olympic rower, Steve has more than 30 years' experience working in the technology, financial services and capital markets consultancy sector

Supported a successful rebrand

Supported investment in new systems and developed associated operational and commercial suite of KPIs

Headquartered in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Data Intellect has offices in the US, Singapore and Hong Kong. The business employs 250 people, which includes its team of highly skilled and qualified consultants. The business has significant expertise in helping its clients optimise, develop and maintain their database technologies and take advantage of advanced data and analytics. Data Intellect, which enjoys long-term relationships with a number of leading financial institutions, also has its own proprietary suite of software tools, TorQ. Data Intellect's consulting services include:

• Kdb+ and Big Data: significant expertise in helping its clients optimise, develop and maintain their database technologies and take advantage of advanced data and analytics
• Data Science: including data aggregation and AI
• Software development: including implementation, engineering and development, training and ongoing maintenance/support, and
