Sovereign publishes Sustainability Report

Sovereign Capital Partners, the leading UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, is pleased to announce the publication of its second annual Sustainability Report.

Building on our inaugural report, the latest edition provides comprehensive performance data from across our portfolio, demonstrating measurable progress on a range of metrics, including energy consumption and emissions, diversity and inclusion, governance, and cybersecurity. Bioscript became our first portfolio business to receive approval from the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) for its near-term emissions reduction targets, while Eden Futures launched its first ESG Impact Report, setting a strong foundation for its progress toward net zero.

The report also details our own advancements. Throughout 2024/25, we began reporting on sustainability in our biannual reports to our investors, we joined the ESG Data Convergence Initiative, and held our first Sustainability Day, where we brought together our portfolio businesses to share insights and foster cross-portfolio learning on key topics.

Key achievements across our portfolio include:

• 100% of portfolio companies have measured their carbon footprint and have a three-year Sustainability Action Plan in place
• 94% of companies have a Diversity & Inclusion Policy, up from 69% last year
• Total portfolio emissions fell from 10,448 to 9,970 tCO2e
• 88% of companies have a human rights policy, and 41% have a responsible purchasing policy, up from 25% last year
• 100% of companies actively manage cybersecurity risks, up from 94%
