Having worked as an investor for over 16 years, I’m still fascinated by the stories from entrepreneurs about the journeys they’ve been on to build their businesses - the hard work, determination and sacrifices made. No two are the same. Working with management teams to support their business ambitions is one of the things we really get behind at Sovereign.
I joined the firm in 2007 and became a partner in 2014. In this time I’ve led a number of investments at Sovereign: companies like Cordium which under our ownership made 7 acquisitions to become one of the largest global regulatory consultancies in its market; Kindertons, our car rental operator, that quadrupled in size through both organic growth and 4 acquisitions, and Linnaeus Group which during the 4 years of our investment became one of the largest and fastest-growing veterinary groups in Europe, completed 21 acquisitions and increaesd EBITDA by more than 700%.

Having graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class Engineering degree, a 10-year career in engineering and project management followed - I still think engineering is one of the closest things to magic in the world! I went on to complete an MBA at Manchester Business School which I'm proud to say I completed with distinction. I then spent six years with Rothschild in corporate finance, latterly as a founding member of Rothschild's Mezzanine investment team, immediately prior to joining Sovereign.
I’ve been lucky enough to play many team and individual sports over the years and still enjoy the camaraderie of a team, the rush of adrenaline, chasing balls around fields and riding horses (sometimes together).
