Sovereign Capital announces three promotions

06/04/2006

Sovereign Capital, the independent lower mid-market UK private equity provider, has made three promotions in its team: Dominic Dalli and Simon Hitchcock have been made Directors and Jose Rodriguez has been promoted to Investment Manager.

Dominic Dalli joined Sovereign in 2002 after five years with Deloitte Corporate Finance's healthcare team. He has been actively involved in Sovereign's healthcare and education investments, including SENAD, TRACSCARE, Orchard End and, most recently, led the Alkare transaction. Dominic represents Sovereign Capital's funds on the Boards of TRACSCARE and Alkare.

Simon Hitchcock began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and joined Sovereign in 2002, having spent three years with Dilmun Investments. Simon's support service transactions at Sovereign include DC Leisure, Sencia (formerly Pelcombe Training) and Lindley Catering. He was on the Board of DC Leisure until its successful recapitalisation in 2005 and now serves on the Boards of Sencia and Lindley Catering.

Having completed his MBA from London Business School, Jose Rodriguez joined Sovereign in 2004; he had previously spent five years supervising M&A transactions and International Operations in the Banking and Securities Commission in Mexico. Jose has been involved in the implementation of roll-out strategies across the portfolio and, most recently, worked on the Alkare platform as well as a number of bolt-on acquisitions for CHOICE and SENAD.
