Sovereign Capital Partners LLP ("Sovereign Capital"), the UK private equity buy-and-build specialist, is expanding its investment team with the recruitment of Mark Williams, as Investment Manager, bringing Sovereign's investment team to 17.

Mark, an Oxford graduate, joins from BA Capital Partners Europe - Bank of America Bank where he worked on UK and European private equity transactions for three years prior to which he was at Close Brothers Corporate Finance where he began his career.

Commenting on his appointment, Sovereign Capital Partner, Ryan Robson, says: "We are delighted to be expanding the team with high calibre recruits like Mark. In the past 12 months, Sovereign has completed five new buy-and-build platform investments, 12 portfolio acquisitions, and the recent exit from specialist education provider The SENAD Group. We have a strong pipeline of investment and exit opportunities and will continue to look for good quality recruits as the business expands."

This is the fifth appointment to the deal team Sovereign has made over the last year. Last month Sovereign appointed Phil Hinson from PricewaterhouseCoopers - Corporate Finance as Assistant Director.
