Sovereign Capital appoints Hinson to team

Sovereign Capital, the independent UK lower mid-market private equity provider, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Phil Hinson as an Assistant Director.

Phil has spent the last six years with PricewaterhouseCoopers - Corporate Finance where he was a founding member of the Business Services sector team and focused primarily on the Facilities Management sector. His transactions included the secondary MBO of Emprise, a leading facilities services provider, the sale of M&E and fabric maintenance specialist, Circle Britannia, to Spice Holdings plc and the acquisition of Pegasus Security by ISS. Phil began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1996 where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Phil brings a strong transactional capability to the team both on the buy-side and sell-side in addition to deal origination. His sector experience enhances Sovereign Capital's existing strengths in successfully backing business services companies.

Sovereign Capital continues to invest in platforms which provide the opportunity for buy & build. This was most recently demonstrated by portfolio company Lindley Catering Limited joining forces with Heathcotes Outside to create one of the UK's leading catering companies to the leisure industry.
