Sovereign Capital strengthens team

Sovereign Capital, the independent UK lower mid-market private equity provider, today announced that Jose Rodriguez has joined the team. He will be working with the investment team in helping to manage and administer the portfolio companies.

Jose has several years of experience in financial services and completed his MBA from London Business School in summer 2004. During his studies he completed a number of projects for UK private equity firms which included reviewing management practice in several mid-market portfolio companies.

Before his MBA, Jose supervised M&A transactions on behalf of the Banking and Securities Commission in Mexico, and carried out inspections of financial institutions in the UK and the USA. He also has a BA in Economics from Monterrey Institute of Technology.

Sovereign's investments include the £26 million IBO of healthcare services company, TRACS, the £14 million BIMBO of outsourced leisure services group, DC Leisure Management and the £21 million IBO of support services group Laurel Management Services.
