Sovereign Capital appoints Dalli to team

Sovereign Capital, the independent UK mid-market private equity provider, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dominic Dalli as an Assistant Director.

Dominic has spent the last three years with Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance, London, where he was responsible for developing their Healthcare Sector team. Transactions included advising Medical Imaging Australasia on its acquisition of Lodestone Patient Care, as well as advising Glaxosmithkline on the sale of its European electronic medical record business. Dominic has also advised private equity providers on investments and exits, and previously worked at Grant Thornton.

Dominic's appointment closely follows that of Simon Hitchcock, also an Assistant Director. Both bring a strong transactional capability to the team and will play an active role in further investing Sovereign Capital's third fund which closed at £120 million earlier this year. Recent transactions from the fund include the £25 million institutional purchase of one of the UK's leading private education businesses, Davies Laing & Dick Limited and the £20 million MBO of healthcare services company, Community Homes of Intensive Care and Education Limited.
