Sovereign expands investment team to support strong deal flow
Sovereign Capital, the UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, today announces the appointment of Manish Miglani to its investment team to support the firm’s strong deal flow. Over the past 12 months Sovereign has completed 24 platform, bolt-on and roll-out transactions, mostly recently investing in Greenwich School of Management, a leading private-sector provider of University-accredited Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Programmes.
Manish will work across Sovereign’s Direct Origination and Deal Execution teams, researching market opportunities and potential acquisitions and supporting deal completions. He will focus mainly on activities in the business services area, in which Sovereign has completed a raft of deals over the past year, including the platform acquisition of IMS Group and subsequent bolt-on of Regulatory Solutions, both of which provide regulatory compliance consulting.
Prior to joining Sovereign, Manish worked at Terra Firma Capital Partners and Aureos Capital and previously spent three years in strategy consulting at Accenture. He holds an MBA from London Business School and a Masters in Management.
The appointment of Manish expands Sovereign’s investment team further, following the appointments of Jonathan Kay, Luke Kingston and Ross Coull in late 2010.
Commenting on the appointment, David Myers, Partner and Head of Research & Direct Origination, commented: “We are delighted to expand our team with the appointment of Manish, who brings very relevant experience of successfully seeking out new market opportunities, sourcing deals and supporting transactions. His appointment will enable us to continue building our strong pipeline of both on and off market transactions, and executing those deals swiftly and efficiently.”
