Sovereign Capital announces two promotions
Sovereign Capital, the UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, is pleased to announce the promotions of two of its investment team: Jose Rodriguez Cesenas and Neil Cox have been made Directors.
Jose joined Sovereign in 2004 having completed his MBA at London Business School. Today he co-leads Sovereign’s education sector team and is a non-executive director on several of the portfolio company boards. Jose has completed over 15 investments including WCL, Lifetime, Paragon Education and GSoM and worked on the Buy & Build and exit of both Alpha Plus Education and SENAD. Prior to Sovereign, Jose supervised international operations and M&A transactions on behalf of the Banking & Securities commission in Mexico and worked with CDC Capital Partners (now Actis).
Neil Cox joined the team in October 2007 from NM Rothschild where he spent six years in their Investment Banking and Mezzanine Finance teams investing in more than 20 mezzanine transactions. Over the last four and a half years Neil has completed eight Support Services transactions at Sovereign including platform investments IMS and EEG, together with their subsequent bolt-on investments. Neil also sits on the boards of these businesses.
