Established in 1995 as London Care, the business recently renamed itself as City & county Healthcare. The Group is one of the UK's largest domiciliary care businesses, providing c40,000 hours of personal support per week to vulnerable people, particularly the elderly, in their own homes.

In April 2010, City & County Healthcare expanded with the acquisition of Sterling Homecare Limited ('Sterling').  Sterling enhances the Groups strong reputation with its Local Authority and Primary Care Trust customers who commission the majority of care hours provided across three to five year contracts. The business provides high standards of care, with over 80% of branches being rated 'good' or 'excellent' by the independent regulator, the Care Quality Commission.
