Kinetics

Kinetics is a support services company delivering planned and reactive maintenance services to social and military homes through long-term contracts with local authorities, housing associations and the Ministry of Defence.

Since Sovereign's initial investment in Seaflame and Cameron in 2006, Kinetics has made five bolt-on acquisitions to extend its geographic reach into the North West and The Midlands. These include Hudson in March 2007, TA Horn in June 2007, Walmotts in October 2007, Lord Group in March 2008 and Sureway Gas in June 2008.

Following the acquisition of Sureway Gas, the group's gas division now has 450 Corgi qualified engineers, making it one of the largest employers of gas engineers in the country.

The group now turns in excess of £100m a year compared with £32m at acquisition and has a combined workforce of 1,200 employees up from 340 at acquisition.

In Kinetics, Sovereign has created a unique national provider of high quality social housing and maintenance services that is well positioned to compete for the increasingly larger contracts being awarded by its customers and the growing number of procurement clubs, whilst retaining its regional identity and strong local customer relationships.
