Jose Rodriguez-Cesenas

Jose has over 12 years of experience in private equity and financial services and has been with Sovereign since 2004. During this time he has completed over 12 transactions in the mid-market, including WCL, Lifetime, Paragon Education and GSoM as well as worked in the Buy & Build and exit of both Alpha Plus Education and SENAD. Jose co-leads Sovereign’s education sector team and acts as a non-executive of several of our educational investments.

Prior to Sovereign, Jose supervised international operations and M&A transactions on behalf of the Banking & Securities commission in Mexico and worked with CDC Capital Partners (now Actis).

Jose has a BA in Economics from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and an MBA from London Business School.
