As a Partner at Sovereign, one of the things I really enjoy about being part of the team here is the range of businesses I get the opportunity to meet and work with. We really put in the time and energy to get to know the companies in our sector specialisms and build relationships with the owners and management teams.
I've worked on a variety of transactions in business and technology services including Bristow & Sutor and its subsequent acquisitions of DRP and Credit Style, Agena and its follow-on acquisitions, the take-private of Murgitroyd Group plc from AIM and its follow-on acquisitions in the UK and Europe, and our investments in software engineering provider Zenitech, data and analytics services business Data Intellect, technology operating model design consultancy Mozaic.
We apply our expertise to support management to leverage their companies' market positions and further accelerate growth, both organically and through acquisition.
I joined Sovereign in 2014 after spending five years with Experian plc where I was Corporate Development Director, covering M&A activity in the UK and EMEA. Whilst there I worked on a broad range of transactions, with a focus on software, data and analytics businesses.
Prior to this I qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG, working in Transaction Services where I focused on the business services, healthcare and real estate sectors.
Before joining KPMG I graduated from the University of Southampton with a first class BSc in Accounting and Finance. I am married with two young daughters, and when not doing my best to keep them entertained I enjoy travelling, skiing and watching Formula 1. I am also a keen musician and distinctly average golfer
